HOME PAGE SECTION

A warm welcome to you all, successful and pro-active people, looking for a friendly and professional space, where its aim is to empower you to take control back over your body by challenging your aches and pains, lack of movement or perhaps the nerves before that incoming 10 K Marathon.

Specialising in assessment, hands-on treatment and advice on post-acute stage, soft tissue injuries and conditions, we provide a holistic and tailored approach to suit your personal needs while staying within our scope of practice.

Our philosophy is that everything in the Universe is interconnected, and that human anatomy and physiology are no different but rather a reflection of that principle.

Hence, any course of physical therapy that you may decide to take on, will be more efficient when it's combined with exercise, healthy diet and lifestyle.

2. Remedial Massage Therapy - Prices: 30"/45"/ 60" : £28/ £42/ £55

A very popular type of treatment and top of the list of insurance companies in well-developed countries, such as USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Remedial Massage is slowly gaining popularity across UK as well.

As the name implies, it is used to treat, to find remedy rather than just purely relaxation.

The practitioners are trained to Level 4-5, have the knowledge about different pathologies of the MSK system and are continuously looking to learn/refresh their knowledge and skills in remedial massage, so rest assured, you are in safe hands.

Remedial Massage uses little to no oil and little to no massage.

The techniques used can be static, slow, dynamic or passive or a combination of these and it may involve client's participation.
The techniques chosen are based on a combination of subjective and objective assessment and can be one or two of the following, at a time:

Trigger Point Therapy - used in chronic conditions to break down those highly sensitive areas of pain and tension, known as "knots"
Myofascial Release - a gentle yet very efficient in breaking down post-surgery adhesions for which sometimes, further surgery is needed and not only.
Passive/ Active Assisted Soft Tissue Release - used to help with muscle inhibition and to bring it to its normal length and function
Gentle Joint Mobilisation - to help with lubrication of the joint preventing it from freezing and to maintain mobility
Muscle Energy Techniques using Post Isometric Relaxation, Reciprocal Inhibition or Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation
Skin Rolling: used to lift and separate the different layers of tissue that are "glued" to each other and facilitate movement of the blood, lymph and nervous signals. Used also as a warmup, preparation of the body for the treatment.

1. Sports Massage - Prices: 30"/45"/ 60" : £28/ £42/ £55

Choose this treatment to help with preparation for a sport event or recovery from an intense gym session, neck and shoulders tension, stiffness from working at a desk or driving for long periods of time and even with low energy levels.

It is an intense type of massage, gradually increasing the pressure, it uses oil and addresses deeper layers of muscles but contrary to general belief, it should not bring you to unbearable pain.

For those who know themselves wanting a really hard pressure, that is not satisfied even using fists and elbows, we advise, perhaps, seeing a Thai Massage Practitioner.

3. Reflexology- Prices: 30"/45"/ 60" : £28/ £42/ £55

Reflexology - also known as zone therapy - is a treatment whereby pressure is applied to reflex points. A relaxing foot massage is performed before, during and after the treatment for that calming and beneficial effect.

It is believed that these various reflex points, when stimulated, have an effect on the corresponding organs found in the feet and lower legs.
